What We Ate Today: An Indian Pasta Fusion

I’m back with yet another lunch post today. I had my first taste of pasta only in my twenties. Ms. G however tried pasta for the first time when she was about a year old. One thing common between both of us though is that we both fell instantly in love with it!

I am South Indian and our staple food is rice. Rice is comfort food for me – whether it is in the form of biryani, or the more humble sambar rice and curd rice. What We Ate Today: Channa Pulao

One of the main topics that I’ve heard discussed among moms is food. Almost every mom I know complains that their child is a picky eater! As a mother we feel happy and satisfied if our child eats properly. Often though, our idea of a proper meal doesn’t seem to sync with our children’s idea of a good meal – be it in terms of quantity or quality!

Ms. G has been an exclusively breast fed baby. My weaning strategy has really been a mix of traditional and baby-led weaning – although purists might argue that there is no such thing! Continue reading

REVIEW: Cookiie Pie Soft Structured Baby Carrier

You know the umpteen number of things that we buy for our little ones, many of which end up being utterly useless and a total waste of time and money? Well, I too have a load of such stuff. However one item that I completely do not regret buying is our baby carrier. When Ms. G was a little over 3 months we started using a wrap by Moby, which happened to be a gift from a close friend. No doubt this wrap is a good one and we certainly did enjoy using it; but all that tying and untying involved in a wrap made it a little cumbersome to use.
